Assembling & Using the Hampton Bay Selsdon Black Tree Floor Lamp

The three 40 Watt lamps combine to produce pleasing pools of light in the corner where the lamp stands. This is better, in some cases, than a harsh single point of 120 Watt light. The black finish is even and complete throughout. There appeared to be a problem with the finish but on closer inspection it was revealed to be just glue and it wiped off without leaving any trace. The four position switch provides one, two or three lights of illumination and the lamps themselves adjust easily and stay put. The heavy base ensures that this lamp is stable.

Assembly was straightforward and the only thing to be concerned about was the risk of cross threading the fine aluminum joints.
