Stuart Challender - "Ride of the Valkyries" Rehearsal DIE WALKÜRE (Wagner) 1983

The admired Australian conductor, Stuart Challender, here in his 'other' role as répétiteur, rehearses a section of the "Ride of the Valkyries" from the beginning of Act III of Richard Wagner's DIE WALKÜRE. The exact date of this rare footage is not known but the venue is the Main Rehearsal Room of the Sydney Opera House in preparation for the 1983 production conducted by Carlo Felice Cillario.
