Today the girls and I are making more cookies. Why? Because we devoured the first 3 batches already and it's not even Christmas. To make it easy on you I've included the recipes in the description box. Enjoy!! I hope you all are having a very Merry Christmas season.

DELUXE CUTOUT COOKIES

Cream together: 1 cup soft butter, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond extract

Blend in well: 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Chill dough 2-3 hours. Roll to 3/16", cut out shapes and bake on greased pans at 375 degrees for 7 minutes for a soft tender cookie.

Frost and sprinkle.

FROSTED PECAN DAINTIES

Cream together: 1 cup soft butter 1/4 c. powdered sugar, 2 cups flour, 1/8 tsp. salt

Shape into 2 logs like I did in the video. Chill. Slice into 1/4 inch slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for about 11 minutes.

Make frosting: Brown slightly 2 T. butter. Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 T. hot water and cream to make a thick, but spreadable frosting. Frost tops of cookies and dip in ground pecans. So yummy!!!!

PEANUT BLOSSOMS

Cream together: 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. peanut butter, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. white sugar.

Stir in dry ingredients alternating with 2 T. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla. 1 3/4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda.

Shape in balls, roll in sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and top with chocolate star, bake for 2 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before storing.
