Maximizing Dog Training Session Time 🐾 #shorts

In some training sessions—especially when I’m short on time ⏱️—I love giving both of my dogs something to do at once. This is one of my favorite ways to make that happen without my attention being pulled in too many directions.

It’s also perfect for dogs who are still learning to take turns and struggle to stay still 🐾. Giving them a snuffle-style activity keeps them engaged while you work with your other dog.

One thing to keep an eye on though… the box might become more fun than the actual training! 😅 You can switch up the treat value you toss into the box compared to what you’re using for training, or even set out multiple boxes so they have options. If your dog leaves you for the box, see it as a challenge to work through!

This setup forces you to keep your mechanics clean and your sessions moving—your dog will tell you quickly if the box is more interesting than you are. If mine choose the box, that’s my cue to adjust something in the session 🎯.
