Shapeoko Pro Assembly Overview
NOTE: Additional comments/correction/built notes in description.
The Shapeoko Pro's assembly process has been vastly streamlined over that of the Shapeoko 3. Each step is compartmentalized in a box, letting you focus on one component or system at a time. This video will cover the required assembly processed for putting together your CNC router.
Comments/Correction/Built Notes:
- In some cases the Y1 port on the control board should be connected to the Right Y stepper, not Left. Keep an eye on this when you home the machine for the first time. The gantry should travel to the back right corner. Reverse your Y connectors if this is not the case.
- The plastic "Filler Strips" that go under the hybrid table to stop things from falling under the T-track are not needed on newer machines. We have a new extrusion with an extra wide lip that reduces the gap.
- In case it was not clear, remove the Shipping Bolt from the X-axis carrier plate before installing the Z-axis. Otherwise the Z-axis won't mount correctly...
-If you are missing fasteners, please contact support. All hardware is Metric, so if you're missing something and you want to source it locally just bring the screw/bolt to the hardware store and look for something the same diameter/length.
