Katsudon is a beloved Japanese comfort food staple and it’s a great way to use up leftover Tonkatsu, Gyukatsu, or Chicken Katsu.

INGREDIENTS (makes 1 large serving)

2 large eggs
70 grams onion (~1/2 small onion)

2 tablespoons sake
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 serving cooked short-grain rice
Mitsuba or scallions for garnish
