SOFIA is not what I expected, It's better!
Welcome to Bulgaria, I'm in the capital city, Sofia.

It has a surprisingly eclectic and exotic feel. Sofia's has a roller-coaster history observe the impact of the medieval rulers and the multiple religions flourishing under Ottoman rule.

Bulgaria was communist from the end of the Second World War until 1990.
DISCOVER the original roads build by the Romans, in the oldest city in Europe.
It's a beautiful, modern and youthful city, with a scattering of onion-domed churches, Ottoman mosques and lush parks.

The city has striking statues that tower over the town. Some of them are controversial, legacies of the country’s communist past.

You can walk down an original road from the Roman empire.
"All roads lead to Rome” goes the old saying?
Although I Sofia to be more expensive than Skopje, the capital city of NORTH MACEDONIA.
you can always find a bargain.
The first soup kitchen is here in BULGARIA, It’s an institution in Sofia
It offers a variety of flavours for as little as five Euros.

Sofia’s residents drink one of the purest waters in Europe
a small water source where the people come to re-fill bottles to take home.
Visitors are welcome to sip from the healing waters of the mineral springs

I hope I've persuaded anyone visiting to linger and to explore Sofia.

Fall in love with the thrill of discovery.
It's been the greatest marvel and will help make your life anything but boring.
It doesn't get any more real than this.

Please do not get stuck believing that what you're doing right now is all you'll ever do.
Travel and new experiences give purpose and the confidence to believe we are capable of anything.
