This story is about Seville.
Life’s too short not to “Stuff your eyes with wonder”.
See the world.
It’s more fantastic than any dream.
Some cities blast you away. Others slowly win you over.
Seville disarms and seduces you.
Start your day walking the streets, soak in the atmosphere, explore endless city parks, architecture and beauty.
Spanish people love their bakeries and sitting outside them in abundance. You can join them.
Indulge your sweet tooth on these very sticky pastries made with fennel and honey!
Whilst you sip an extra-large coffee.
Decide what fresh flowers you might buy from the nearest street vendor.
You will notice most houses and apartments have oasis style courtyards
A tranquil haven of peace can be found and is an ideal place for relaxation.
It’s not uncommon to see them tiled, and you might recognise the print and colour a copy from Granada’s Alhambra.
Depending on the size of the house, they often come with a fountain in the centre.
Seville is as much about the here and now as the past.
The Cathedral of Seville, It’s virtually impossible to miss.
It is the world’s largest Gothic cathedral,
And it’s the final resting place of Christopher Columbus.
The Sevillanos enjoy the city’s good climate and soak in its beauty by spending time outside the home as much as possible.
If you love food as much as I do, There is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and tapas bars.
Have a drink on a terrace and enjoy some local tapas.
stumble across fabric shops or classic haberdashery stores
Even if you don’t sew, it's still worth having a nosey at all the various prints and textures
Good to see the tradition certainly still going strong here in Seville.
Real treasures can be found at local vintage shops
they will remind you of something lost, something found, memories and joy.
Beautifully displayed and divided into different colours, environments and times.
