The Scarlatti Ripoff
“The Scarlatti Ripoff” appears on Leo Kottke’s 1975 album “Chewing Pine”. At one of his live concerts, he commented that the tune was written with the Italian composer Domenico Scarlatti (1685 – 1757) and others from this Baroque/Renaissance era in mind.
This version was played in dropped D tuning on a 1974 Martin D12-28.
