Can't Travis Pick? Try this!

Why Can't I Travis Pick? This is my fourth in a series of lessons on how to Travis pick. I'm pulling a George Lucas here and claiming this to be the beginning. Eventually, strummers want to learn finger-picking. Travis picking is a style of fingerpicking that involves coordinating independent downward movement of the thumb on the bass strings on the downbeat, while the fingers pluck upward on the high strings in between the downbeats.
This technique is difficult in the beginning. However, with persistence and practice (at least 15 minutes each day for two weeks) should allow you to transfer this pattern to muscle memory. You'll never forget it again.
I remember when I finally learned how to do this. I was elated! I'm hoping this lesson (along with my other tutorials) helps students to learn how to do this and feel that same elation. Please like or share my videos with your musician friends who may want to learn how to Travis Pick. Visit my channel and check out my other tutorials, maybe SUBSCRIBE. Remember, music is the universal language that binds us together.
