Which Travis Picking Pattern Do I Start With? There are so many! I'm confused?!

Which Travis Picking Pattern should I select to begin learning.
Although there seems to be a lot of different patterns, they all have common traits or similarities. They are all in 4/4 time. Alternating bass notes are played with the thumb on the downbeats (i.e., 1 2 3 4), while the fingers pull upward on the treble strings, on the "&" (in between the downbeats, i.e., 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &). The notes are mostly played individually and separately across time, and when executed well can sound like two guitar players: the bass player (with the alternating bass notes) driving the song while the fingers enunciate the melody line on the higher strings, all based on chord changes along the way.
Travis picking is a wonderful guitar accompaniment for singer-songwriters, solo artists, or coffeehouse performers.
Anyway, my advice to anyone who is having difficulty picking a pattern to start with. My advice is to just pick one. Once you learn one, others become easier. Please Like or Subscribe.
