How To Braid Your Steering Wheel!!!

I'm sure you've seen some amazing wheels on flats skiffs lately and I have always had mine done on the Parker. They give you a real grip on the wheel, they are warm if you fish the fall run in New England and they just look cool. I do not braid wheels for sale but I do for myself and friends. So I will give you the inside on how I do mine. I will go over the normal half hitch (my favorite) the alternating half hitch and the Turks Head Knot which is basicly a cosmetic design only. On sailboats they are used as a rudder indicator so when you spin that huge wheel you know where you are. Now I'm no videographer by any means so bare with me and I will show you.
You will need
Paracord (parachute cord 550)
Parachute Planet has an abundant selection
Fids I purchased mine from Wild Wolf
A good book of knots
CA Glue or Crazy
Electrical Tape
Scissors
Torch or Lighter
Some Fishing Wire
