Giant Eye
Yes, we're going for it with the creepy stuff right away. Consider taking a stroll on the beach, the weather is perfect. You might be collecting seashells or shark teeth when you come across a strange round object about the size of a football. As you examine it further, you realize it's a massive eyeball. No this isn't something out of a horror film; it happened in real life at Pompano Beach in Florida.
Scientists and marine wildlife officials have been trying to figure out where the giant eye came from since it was discovered. Some believe it came from a swordfish, while others believe it came from a giant squid. Or perhaps the Kraken and other sea monsters are real after all. One thing is for sure, we would never want to cross paths with whoever owns this massive eye. Our next entry, which is also about sea monsters, is here.
The Sea Serpent
This is the most similar creature to the Loch Ness Monster that can be found in the sea. They can grow up to 11 meters in length and can be found at depths of around 1,000 meters, making them the world's longest bony fish. When it comes to strange discoveries, we can't overlook the existence of this massive oarfish. The Oarfish's physical credits are without a doubt what makes it an underwater legend.
With its gleaming silver skin, this massive fish can grow to be as long as a school bus. Within a week of each other, two of these appeared on California beaches in 2013. Oarfishes were uncommon at first. However, they've been washing up on the beaches more frequently recently. It is frequently mistaken for a sea serpent because it is the world's largest known bony fish.
