'Worker's Marseillaise' is a revolutionary song of Russian and French origin seeing wide usage during the October Revolution as the anthem of the Bolshevik revolutionaries alongside The Internationale. The tune and name come from the anthem of France, first used during the French Revolution of 1789, La Marseillaise, with lyrics being based on a poem by Pyotr Lavrov written in 1875.
