The Renovation: Episode 9 // First Load of Gravel

After digging a trench in the floor to reroute the sewer lines to the future bathroom location, it's now time to fill the trench back up with gravel to prep for a new concrete slab! Thankfully, the Rockydale quarry is only 15mins from downtown Roanoke which makes repeated loads of gravel in a day pretty feasible!

However, in an exhibition of attention deficit disorder, Tay shifts his focus to the dirty ceiling after the first load of gravel. The mission is to pressure wash the filthy ceiling to get rid of what is likely 100 years of grease, dust, and dirt. Tay sets to work filling up a water tank (because the building has no running water yet), hooking it up to a pressure washer, jumping in the scissor lift, and testing just how well high-pressure water will clean old pine ceiling joists.
