Whitebonnet anemonefish with Identity Crisis, Amphiprion leucokranos

The whitebonnet anemonefish (Amphiprion leucokranos) is more frequently observed associating with the orangefin anemonefish (A. chrysopterus) and the yellow clownfish (A. sandarcinos) than with other whitebonnets. Here it is also observed with a third species, the pink anemonefish (A. perideraion). The whitebonnet may or may not be a hybrid; DNA analysis has so far not confirmed this hypothesis so the jury is still out.

The first scenes in this video were shot with the camera on a tripod. The second half was shot while hovering. To see how to stabilize a camera underwater while hovering, check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akGbmQrF-6c.
