Tesla's New Test at Giga Texas Gives It a Big Potential

Tesla is testing a new Giga Press at Gigafactory Texas, which is a big opportunity for Tesla's production ramp at Giga Texas.

"A bit of news from Giga Texas today ... as I'm going through my footage in my new video from this morning, I've noticed that a 4th Giga Press (6,100-Ton version) is now installed and in testing! This isn't the CT Giga Press, but is a big jump in capability," tweets Tesla Giga Texas drone operator and Twitter blogger Joe Tegtmeyer.

In an effort to optimize the electric car production of Giga Texas as much as possible, Tesla has developed robotic equipment and machines. Tesla has done this in cooperation with partner companies,.

The Giga Press is one such machine. Here are the big benefits of the Giga Press. Its goal is to reduce build time, operation costs, costs of manufacturing, factory footprint, factory operating costs, tooling costs, and/or quantity of equipment. This in turn also reduced the number of machines needed to make a car frame, and the company can build the complete frame itself.
