BREAKING! Tesla Giga Berlin Receives Operating Permit, Clearing Production

Just an hour ago Tesla blogger Sawyer Merritt tweeted breaking news from Tesla Giga Berlin, saying an insider source shared with him an email from Tesla to employees informing the receipt of operating permit. This clears the start of production at Giga Berlin.

Here is what Merritt just tweeted. “Yesterday was a huge day for Tesla Giga Berlin. Tesla officially received their operating permit. This now officially enables them to start production & to deliver cars to customers! The more than 400 things Tesla needed to show officials are now complete,” Merritt wrote, referring to his own internal source. I trust Merrit this is why I am reporting this news with our Torque News followers. Merritt has been a reliable source for Tesla news and has repeatedly shared Tesla inside news, which has proved to be true.

Then he shared the copy of the official email from Tesla to employees in both English and German.

The email reads:

“Dear Giga Berlin team,
“Yesterday, was a huge day for our gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. We officially received our operating permit. This also enables us to start production and to deliver cars to our customers. What a milestone in our young history.”

Then the email congratulates and thanks Giga Berlin team members and to all that helped to get Tesla to this point. It continues saying "Great team spirit. And of course, we wouldn't be Tesla if we would not continue working at full speed and already start delivering the first cars to our customers next Tuesday. This is going to be a memorable moment and the entire world will watch. As already announced in several emails, we are going to celebrate this event with you straight after the shift ends at 3;00pm. We are looking forward to seeing you there. thank you for your continued hard work.”

I have to say it's good to hear that the checks are completed as expected by Tesla Giga Berlin within two weeks and it’s ready for the opening.

There are other confirmations for this news to be true.

At least one other person commented under Merritt’s tweet saying he has also seen the copy of the email that I just quoted.

Besides, the German publications are reporting that Elon Musk is coming to Giga Berlin next week to attend the opening of Tesla’s first European gigafactory. Elon wouldn’t come if there was an issue and the operating permit wasn’t secured by Tesla.

Also, as I reported yesterday, the water issue for Giga Berlin is also solved. Let me refresh you on that issue and there is still one more big argument for this, which I am about to tell you.

First, the water supply for the new Telsa plant is secured. The supply contract of the water association Strausberg-Erkner (WSE) remains in place. The association announced this on Thursday after an extraordinary meeting of the association members. Tesla stock continued its recovery move on Thursday.

With the toleration of water pumping of around 3.8 million cubic meters per year for the Eggersdorf waterworks by the State Office for the Environment (LfU), the association could enable the drinking water supply for the population and the first expansion stage of Tesla for 2022. The contract with Tesla provides for the delivery of 1.8 million cubic meters per year to the carmaker.

The next argument in favor of Tesla Giga Berlin’s permit and great light has to do with the German Chancellor.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, along with Elon Musk, will officially open Giga Berlin next week. The American company’s factory is an important project, so its opening is of great interest to German politicians.
