Gaslighting/Denying Microaggressions | Christina Kim | Palisades Park High School
Gaslighting microaggressions unfortunately became common, especially in modern society. However, many seem to ignore these remarks because they're not considered blunt or severe. in this video, we will be discussing how denying these microagressions can be harmful to communities.
I am Christina Kim (she/her) and am currently a sophomore at PPHS. I'd like to use my platform to help my fellow peers and classmates know what is going on in modern society and how we can help to make a difference.
This specific project regarding microaggressions addresses the issues of gaslighting and denying microaggressive remarks towards minorities. Because they are so normalized, people don't always intentionally apply these undertone remarks to another, but denying them leads to further normalization. I hope that people can recognize microaggressions rather than gaslighting them.
