The aria on this video is from Puccini's opera La Boheme and the performance is from a recording of the full opera made on 25th December 1948.
Thanks to "Shicoff1" for telling me that this recording existed. I'm hoping to upload more arias in the near future but if you wanted to hear the full opera you can listen on Spotify and the CDs may be available to buy on EBay.
I've tried to improve the audio as much as possible but, unfortunately it's still very poor.
