Albanese and Biden share the ‘same problem’ with Israel-Hamas war
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and President Joe Biden share the “same problem” with the Israel-Hamas war as there is a small element in both their parties that are pro-Palestinian, says The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton.
Mr Albanese and Mr Biden held a joint media conference at the White House where they addressed the media about the deepening Israel-Hamas conflict.
The Prime Minister confirmed Australia will commit an extra humanitarian package to help civilians in Gaza.
“Australia, as you know, is a strong supporter of whatever the US does globally and certainly we are providing humanitarian aid, just as we are with Ukraine,” he told Sky News host James Morrow.
“I don’t think the US is upset with our position.”
