The evening artist of Sashruta's 15th August celebration is someone special as she is a female Dhrupad Vocalist. We all know that Dhrupad is the oldest form of Indian Music and the practitioners of this art a few at present. So it is our foremost responsibility to practise this art form and support the artists who practise this, wholeheartedly.
Our Artist is Miss Yakhlesh Baghel from Gwalior, one of the hubs of Indian Classical Music.
The details of her are as follows:
Father's Name - Mr Madanlal Baghel
Education - 1. Sangeet Kala Ratna (Singing)
2. Dhrupad Kala Ratna
3. B.Sc.
4. M.A. (Singing)
She received her early education in music from Smt. Rekha Sharma with the Sangeet Kala Ratna and M.A. both in vocals. After that, Yakhlesh started learning the Dhrupad style of singing under the scholarship for four years from Guru Sri Abhhijeet Sukhdane Ji in Dhrupad Kendra Gwalior operated by the department of culture, Madhya Pradesh and Raja Man Singh Tomar Music and Arts University under the Guru-Shishya Tradition and still learning under her honourable Guru. She has received “A Grade” in Dhrupad Kala Ratna. Along with this, She has already given training as an Assistant Guru with her guru Ji under the Guru-Shishya scheme of SCZCC.
Achievement -
1. Received special award in the Dhrupad Dhamar genre in the all over India in the All India Radio Music Competition in the year 2015 by the All India Radio.
2. Awarded by Young Artist Awards for Dhrupad - Dhamar by the Ministry of Culture (CCRT), Govt. of India.
3. Youth Achievement Award, Jaipur.
4. Women's Day Department of Women Child Development Honor.
5. Sanskar Manjari.
6. Sanskar Bharti Yuva Samman.
7. B. High graded artist from AIR.
Apart from this, she continuously presents solo and Jugalbandi at many reputed institutes and places of the country. She is purely dedicated towards the Dhrupad in the future.

8. Presentation at the Dhrupad Mela Banaras every year continuously from the year 2011-2015.
