Guadalajara; Tejuino (te-huee-noh), the traditional drink

This is at least as I remember, the traditional drink of Guadalajara. It may have originated somewhere else (maybe Tepic?) but you find it in Guadalajara everywhere.
A drink made of fermented corn, adding some lime juice, freshly squeezed, some sea salt, and lime flavor sorbet at the end.
The taste varies depending on where and who you buy it from, but not by much.
Behind Teatro Degollado was a place where they sold this, and that was the first place I tasted it, my father took me there when I was a kid, and since then, I love it!
La primera vez que probe esta bebida fue caminando el centro de Guadalajara con mi papa, me dijo que me iba a dar a probar algo muy sabroso y caminamos a una callecita que estaba atras del Teatro Degollado y ahi estaba en un porton viejo, un senor vendiendo tejuino. Me gusto y desde entonces lo tomo casi cada que viajo a Guadalajara. Una bebida refrescante y sabrosa, aparte de nutriciosa, imagino yo ....
