Almaty Kazakhstan. the Great Patriotic War Memorial

Maybe because I grew up in suburbia,. in the west, in a nice part of town, I do not know why, but I am attracted to visit countries in the big East, visit places that was impossible to visit back in the 1970's or even the 80's, and after all, I am attracted, big time, to Soviet memorials and war memorials of war from Soviet times. To me, they offer more, they are more impressive than those in the West, and, well, every time I am traveling in one of those countries that were part of the Soviet Block, since it was kinda "taboo", well, I visit and enjoy them fully.
