The Ulucinar of Darica, Turkey, a 850+ year old Sycamore 🇹🇷
Living in Darica, by the water, have to go for essentials to downtown Gebze by public bus #501, and half way I would see in a park this beautiful, old tree, and just wonder. Noticed a plaque at the foot of the tree and using my translator, I would formulate questions; “excuse me, do you know the story behind that tree?” Etc, but nobody seem to know or care about the tree, so, today I got off the bus and decided to see it for myself…
