Be sure to watch Episode 45 for Part 1 of our time in Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore National Monument.

We continue through Custer State Park and onto Mount Rushmore to explore the sculpture during the day as the last time we were there, we got to see the monument lit up for the night show ceremony, and Corey got to lower the American flag with other veterans. We also loved learning about the secret room behind the Presidents.

We drove up Iron Mountain in the Iron Mountain Road experiencing the pigtail roads and insane tunnels. The top of the mountain offered a crazy view of Rushmore, possibly our favorite!

We say goodbye to our friends @ouradventuringlife and head off to prepare for our stay at the ranch in Ten Sleep, Wyoming, where we volunteered the year before. We get propane from Tractor Supply, gas, diesel, and most importantly, Corey washes the truck and rig!

We stop to stock up at a Walmart and our friends have a change in plans and end up in the same spot for the night. You never know just how soon you will see someone again!
