Do Indians Speak "Indian"?

Indians don't speak Indian. Like "Chinese", there's no language called "Indian". There are hundreds of languages spoken in India, and most Indians are at minimum bilingual.

My wife, for example, speaks Hindi, Haryanvi, Bagri, Punjabi, and English.

The amount of times I've been asked if I speak "Hindu" is funny too. Hindu is a person who follows Hinduism, and Hindi is the most spoken language in India, followed by English, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil and more.
