When A Police Officer Dies

Officer Ian Maier passed in December 2021 at 33 years young. A USC Trojan, as well as Mira Costa football star, with impressive stats. Obviously this channel is about holding the police accountable. As part of recording the police day in and out I become friends with many of these guys. When these guys die it will be my responsibility to tell the truth and publish the material I have. Since there are very few incentives for these cops to behave beyond some making that decision personally, the thought of people saying awful things about you while your family is grieving at your funeral should come in toward the top. For some, I guarantee that is exactly what will happen. Thank goodness this video shows Maier and his associates setting an example others should aim for. I have more videos of Maier coming. My intention is to use these videos to show police in this country how simple it is to act like an adult. Effortless even. It has been a long time since I recorded Ian. This is how I remember him acting. Always focused on his work. Many times following the lead of a more senior officer. And at times stuck between a rock and a hard place. Knowing what is right and trying to not offend his partner who clearly doesn't care. While this video shows positive examples only, the next will have only one positive example. Ian again. The point should be obvious. Even though you may live long into the future, what if your partner doesn't? Maybe you have no respect for yourself. But for your partner? Agency? Profession? I am not trying to be insensitive in my comments description or otherwise. I think this video portrays Ian as I remember him, positively.
