Hiking The Adlerweg (Eagle's Walk) in Austrian Tyrol (part 1)

The hike was done in June '23 and is part of the 324km trail that starts in St Johann and finishes in St Anton. The route is well connected and can be split in various stages. Conveniently, Innsbruck is located half way and has easy airport access.

The sections from Innsbruck to St Anton have a higher difficulty than the first half, with higher elevation gain and tougher terrain. While you can combine multiple stages, is best to allow plenty of time to enjoy the breath taking scenery. To avoid high heat and afternoon thunderstorms is best to start early and finish the day before 3pm.

There is an official website with plenty of information and the route is well marked and maintained.
