It's not a nice thing to think, but killing off the Dead Space franchise after the positively DISASTROUS Dead Space 3 was the nicest thing that EA Games could have possibly done. Dead Space and Dead Space 2 were action-horror delights that invited us in to an immersive world that's we can cherish forever. it's such a shame that Isaac Clarke and the Necromorphs were reduced to what they were by the time we got to Dead Space 3.
