About Tasting Africa
We're on a mission to find the tastiest treats from Africa, that you just need to try at least once in your lifetime! We try to include a 'challenge'-approach to identify the right treat for the relevant situation at any given time. So, if you love food, enjoy discovering new and interesting tastes, and like the idea of tasty solutions to various every-day situations? This show is for you! We're here to help you discover - in a fun and relevant way - what new (African) foods are definitely worth trying out. #Africanfood
The format
We take popular treats from various African nations, sit down with a variety of individuals from various cultures to taste and tell you what they think about the bites. Four diverse tasters, try four different dishes from four different countries.
In this episode:
In light of International Women's Day, we invited four powerladies to ntry different African treats. Our four tasters (with roots) from the Moloccan islands, Colombia, Ghana and The Netherlands have a tasting of various popular treats from Angola, Senegal, Libya and Liberia. They taste each food item and rate them on a scale from 1-to-10. The treat with the highest average score will receive certified 'Powerlady Approval'. Watch their reactions and stay tuned until the end of the video to find the tasty verdict!
The following treats are taste-tested in this episode:
1. Bolo de Ginguba - Angola
2. Thiakry (Caakiri) - Senegal
3. Kofta balls & caramelized onion sauce - Libya
