Richard Florida is a university professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and School of Cities and a distinguished visiting fellow at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. His books include The Rise of the Creative Class and The New Urban Crisis. Most notably, he is the author of multiple books including The Rise of the Creative Class, The New Urban Crisis: How Cities Are Increasing Inequality, Deepening Segregation, and Failing the Middle Class-and What to Do About It.

Bruce Katz is the Co-Founder and inaugural Director of the Nowak Metro Finance Lab. Katz is the co-author of The New Localism: How Cities Can Thrive in the Age of Populism (Brookings Institution Press, 2018) and The Metropolitan Revolution: How Cities and Metros are Fixing Our Broken Politics and Fragile Economy (Brookings Institution Press, 2013). Both books focus on the rise of cities and city networks as the world’s leading problem solvers.
