Uma das performances mais incríveis e poderosas que Cyndi Lauper fez durante a tour de promoção da coletânea “Twelve Deadly Cyns...and then some”, em 1994, pela Europa, foi essa apresentação no Mega Music Dance Party, no Palais Omnisports Of Paris Bercy, em 24 de Setembro de1994, na França.
Cyndi entra com o visual do vídeo clipe de “Hey Now”, maravilhosa, exalando sensualidade e poder, com suas pernas, tão elogiadas, à mostra, salto alto, produzida, uma mistura de drag queen e femme fatale. Cyndi domina o palco, explorando cada canto dele e, no final de Hey Now, quando o som do playback é cortado, ela faz questão de demonstrar que estava cantando ao vivo, independente do playback, e continua a cantar a música.
Quando acaba a performance de Hey Now, Cyndi surpreende. Ali mesmo no palco ela se transforma, tira o chapéu, os sapatos, a peruca, as meias-liga, coloca um robe preto por cima do vestido vermelho e apresenta ao público uma outra personagem, totalmente diferente, para interpretar a belíssima “The World Is Stone”.
A câmera ainda acompanha Cyndi na saída do palco, pelos corredores, se hidratando e secando o suor que escorreu durante a magnífica, mas árdua, performance.
Uma performance magnífica que mostra o grande talento da nossa amada Cyndi Lauper, não só musical, mas como intérprete/atriz. Não é à toa que suas atuações no cinema e tv costumam ser elogiadas. Cyndi foi indicada ao Emmy duas vezes, por melhor atriz convidada, e ganhou o troféu em 1995.
Em homenagem o dia mundial do teatro, 27 de março, segue esta performance maravilhosa, digna de um espetáculo da Broadway, dedicada aos profissionais da maravilhosa arte de interpretar.

Cyndi enters with the visual of the video clip of “Hey Now”, wonderful, exuding sensuality and power, with her legs, so praised, on show, high heels, produced, a mixture of drag queen and femme fatale. Cyndi dominates the stage, exploring every corner of it and, at the end of Hey Now, when the playback sound is cut, she makes a point of demonstrating that she was singing live, regardless of the playback, and continues to sing the song.
