What you've seen here is a Ring Dinger session that has no room sound. The usual RD leg elevator music plays throughout the section instead. What you didn't see was the breakdown in communication between an iPhone 12 pro and the built-in microphone. 

But thank goodness the SHURE condenser mic didn't fail. 

Commenters have been commenting the comment since I began filming the RD...

"Can you please bring the microphone set up in the room?"

And if I had listened to that, we would have had an audio recording of the powerful emotional release that occurred during that adjustment. 

I guess it worked out.

And at least the entire visit wasn't lost. Because there was some magic in this session. 

The magic of body knowledge, empathy, and meta-awareness. 

Meta Awareness #1 

Unseen was a moment before the interview began... Ivy and I were discussing the adjustment procedure and just as I finished up by saying we would work with the sound bowls she said "I was just looking at those and wondering if we were going to use them." 

Meta Awareness #2

Later on in the visit, just as I was about to manipulate her toes and her feet, as I began walking towards the end of the table, Ivy spread her toes out as if she was going to crack them... and I asked "were you about to crack your toes, bc I was about to do that."

And she replied, "My body knew it was going to happen." There's a peek at this moment during the afterparty darkly segment.

Meta Awareness #3

As she laid down on the RD table... her body started shaking. And she said, "I'm about to release something... I don't know what." 

She had never seen the RD. But you can see in the video as we began raising her legs up, she mouthed the words "are you about to pull my neck?"

Like she knew. (technically #4, but we'll just include it in #3 since I like 3 more than 4)

And then, as you witnessed, she had what is known as an SER... And her body shaking was the indicator that she "was about to release something."

This is a deep, primal instinct that requires a specific type of sensitivity to the internal and external environment... and it is very common in people who choose medical/ healing professions.

SER = Somatic Emotional Release

This is when bodywork triggers the release of an emotion. 

And it is one of the defining moments of meta-medicine. Because science has not proven yet, how or why an emotion such as sadness, grief, or happiness is stored in the musculoskeletal system of the body. 

And thus... science... although immensely useful, valid and important... is not the sole arbiter of truth. 

Science is the spirit of honest inquisition.

Another defining moment in this video... and this is what I would consider "pushing the envelope" LOL...

During the Scanner Darkly segment... the crinkly paper neck traction audio track was put down underneath the re-cracking of the cervical spine (and through the outro). 

PURPOSEFUL CRINKLES DURING A NECK CRACK... WHAT THE???

So let's recap...

In 2018 I saw my first YouTube chiro video and was baffled as to why it had 5M views. So I read through 1000's of comments... and the comments revealed several reasons for chirotube viewership... and this is when/where I discovered that many of you did not like how the crinkly paper was interfering with the neck cavitations. 

And so non crinkle face paper was born. 

Now... here we are... 2 years later... the crinkles have been re-purposed, emerged like the phoenix rising from its ashes in an ironic, semi-humorous, ASMR audiovisual phenomenon that...

I invented. 

For all of you.
