This app describes why you need to run, even if you're building muscle. In fact ESPECIALLY if you're building muscle! While you might catabolise a little muscle in the short term, in the long term you're more likely to reduce your resting heart rate and thereby help you to reduce stress and thus reduce cortisol and so myostatin. In short, you'll be in 'rest and digest' more often and thereby, you'll be more anabolic. That and you'll also improve your body's ability to deliver nutrients and oxygen to your muscles AND you'll have improved fitness for workouts.
