2021-01-18 Xiao Qi Ji ~ New Door, Den Door or Rooms' Door?

Day 150 #PandaStory: Xiao Qi Ji's journey had a new and interesting development yesterday around noon...

The keeper threw an apple to Mei, after she ate it she started bleating. Qi Ji left the den. Mei walked him toward the rooms' doorway, he got distracted by mom's enrichment feeder. Then you hear a door opening over by the den ... it's the doorway that leads to the chute system, which allows the keepers to move the bears to and from outdoor yards and between rooms within the Panda House.

Mei leaves through the door, Xiao Qi Ji walks over toward it, but our cautious cubbie chooses the den over the new door. Mei comes back inside and Qi Ji nurses. She then goes out again, he goes into the den, she returns to swiffer him to room 2, and repeat. Last we see he is wandering from room 2 to room 3. Later they switch the cam to the den, and there he is happily rolling around with a piece of bamboo!

I believe that the keepers were trying to start training Qi Ji in this area, but I could be wrong. If I get more information, as I know I went through this with Bei Bei, I'll let you know.
