2020-12-20 The Saga of Xiao Qi Ji & the Playpen

Day 121: The 2nd Panda Cam was on the "playpen" all night long, which was where Xiao Qi Ji wound up after his keepers, I assume, left him there while Mei was at lunch. This was after his mother Mei Xiang took him out of the den twice Saturday around noon. The footage covers highlights until 7am this morning. (The audio was either not available or stuttering).

Things to look for:
...2 nursing bouts and a play bout in the playpen
...Tian Tian getting a shoulder rub and back scratches, during which you can see where the Patio is (and you can see Mei's head through the howdy mesh window
...Qi Ji playing on the ledge of the playpen
...Mom and cub sleeping, both in the den and the playpen. They spent some time in the den, but most was in the playpen overnight
...And lots of poop as this was all recorded before the keepers arrived for the morning cleanup.
