What's up with this 6502?
Pulled the 6502 processor from my nonworking Gottlieb Ice Fever pinball machine. I'm noticing some very strange stair-stepped signals coming out of the address lines? Has my poor 6502 gone bad?
The CPU board uses 74HCT components, which require inputs to be at least 4.5V to be considered logic one. So I wouldn't be surprised if these low-amplitude weirdo signals are causing improper address decoding and/or other problems.
The original failure was caused by one of the high voltage vacuum fluorescent score displays shorting out. I've already found one damaged logic chip on the board. Now I'm trying to check the other chips to assess the damage.
