Nixie clock in a frequency counter
I'm working on turning this busted frequency counter into a clock! I've got the circuit built on a breadboard, which is connected to the drivers inside the case by a huge mess of wires.
The clock indicates 12-hour time with seconds, and the date. The time and date are set with 4 buttons attached to a glamorous piece of cardboard .
Uses an ATmega48, a DS1307 real-time clock chip, a DS32kHz temperature-compensated crystal oscillator, and a 3V lithium backup battery.
Next step: put all this stuff on a PCB and stuff it inside the case!
