This famous open-air show in Mannheim was broadcast live on German radio stations, and it has since become one of Queen's most bootlegged shows. This particular broadcast is one of the best recordings of the band, period, as it's in perfect quality, although the original version had some pretty bad tape hiss, so I've reduced that with EQ and I've also beefed up the low ends. Since this is an early tour show, Freddie is still in pretty good voice, and the band are typically solid for the tour. Fish from the band Marillion (one of the opening acts on this tour) joined the band on stage during Tutti Frutti. This show was reportedly filmed as preparation for the upcoming Budapest show, but it's unknown how much was filmed. Footage of We Are the Champions is pretty easy to find on YouTube, and the clip of Freddie kicking a ball on stage (seen in The Show Must Go On's music video) also comes from this show.
