Queen - Live in London (September 13th, 1973) - Soundboard/Broadcast Merge
Queen
Live at the Golders Green Hippodrome
London, England
September 13th, 1973
Soundboard/Broadcast Merge
Sound Quality: A+
Attendance: 700
Special Event: BBC Radio Show
This is the earliest recording of Queen performing live. This particular version is a 4 source merge done by Pittrek, and amended by Chinwonder. The recording is a mix of a raw soundboard, which is predominantly used in the first half of the show, and a broadcast of the soundboard, which takes over for the second half and fills in gaps in the soundboard. The sound is impeccably clear, with the only flaw being that Freddie is a bit low in the mix. This concert showcases Queen at their youngest, and most hungry for success, which was soon to come in just over a year with their first internationally successful album, Sheer Heart Attack.
1. Introduction To Broadcast by Brian Saxton - 0:00
2. Introduction To Concert by Alan Black - 0:25
3. Procession - 0:48
4. Father To Son - 2:10
5. Son And Daughter - 7:34
6. See What A Fool I've Been - 14:52
7. Ogre Battle - 19:36
8. Liar - 24:59
9. Jailhouse Rock - 32:27
10. Stupid Cupid/Be Bop a Lula - 34:37
11. Big Spender - 36:22
