Simple Recipe for Green Lentils with Raisins and Minced Meat

This is a basic recipe for Minced Meat and Raisins with Green Lentils:

Components:
One cup of washed and drained green lentils
One onion, chopped finely
two minced garlic cloves
one chopped carrot
One chopped celery stalk
Half a pound, or 225 grams chopped meat (turkey, lamb, or beef)
one-fourth cup raisins
Two cups (480 ml) of beef or vegetarian broth One teaspoon of ground cumin
One tsp finely ground coriander
One-half tsp smoked paprika
To taste, add salt and pepper.
Two tsp olive oil
fresh parsley that has been chopped (optional)

Guidelines:

In a big skillet or Dutch oven, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped celery, carrot, onion, and garlic; sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables become tender.
Using a spoon, break up the minced meat as it cooks until it turns brown in the skillet.
Add the smoked paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and pepper, and simmer for an additional minute or until fragrant.

To the skillet, add the washed green lentils, raisins, and either beef or veggie broth. Mix everything together.
After bringing the mixture to a boil, turn down the heat. Once the lentils are soft and most of the liquid has been absorbed, cover and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
Taste the cooked lentils and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
If preferred, top the hot green lentils with chopped fresh parsley and raisins and minced beef.

In a cauldron set over an open flame or campfire, heat the olive oil.

Taste the cooked lentils and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
If preferred, top the hot green lentils with chopped fresh parsley and raisins and minced beef.
