Keeping it Simple Weil-Mclain CGA-5 Boiler; Artist in Motion
I LOVE MY JOB!!
One thing I reckon I have to say is, I love my job, especially when I am working with the tools of my trade! Tools are second nature to me since I have been only using them from the age of 12 years old. This time lapse 27 minute video I made over a 5 day period shows the professional skills I developed using these tools to create I consider one of my residential gas boiler masterpieces. I call this video " Artist in Motion" because truly as you view this video I am a specialist at work. My late Brother Herb is shown helping me remove the old boiler at the end, in which, I am sorry to say "It's the last job he and I will ever be on". You will find that the choice of the music I selected fits this "Artist in Motion" somewhat perfectly to make the viewing more pleasurable for you. Enjoy!
P.S. The owners invited me for Christmas dinner, while there I inspected it, looks and is running good. The owners say it has saved on natural gas versus the old one since installation.
Below is dated: 6/14/2013
This 27 minute movie is about prefabrication of a Weil-Mclain Gas Boiler before it gets to the jobsite. It is educational and the work performed is by an Alaska Native certified by the state of Alaska as a licensed Mechanical Administrator in the Residential/Commercial Plumbing & Heating Categories. His brother Herb, a retired Superintendent from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union local 367 joins him later on in the movie during demolition on the jobsite.
Keep in mind as you are watching this movie, even though this is a gas boiler, the supply and return headers are the same for a oil fired boiler.
Watching this movie gives the viewer AutoCad layout, material takeoff, project organization, proper use and type of tools, sweating copper pipe to the highest degree (artistic) and doing an aesthetical layout as well as taking in consideration maintenance that will happen in the future.
The author believes there is good background music that you will enjoy throughout the movie. And there is a pleasant loud surprise towards the end. So even if you are not interested you'll get a good laugh!! Enjoy! http://www.nakco.com/admin/cga5.html
