Linda Forrester Nicholson 1952 - 2022
EULOGY
Linda Marie Forrester (Nicholson) passed away November 4, 2022 due to complications with colon cancer. Linda, born October 14, 1952 in Fairbanks, Alaska, was the daughter of Herbert B. and Nina E. Nicholson (Hansen).
Linda loved life, family, step children and friends with all her whole heart. Linda’s greatest love and companion for 14 years was her pet Diego who was also not well and very old; Diego passed away at the same time by her side at their residence in Anchorage, Alaska.
Linda had many jobs during her lifetime; she loved caring for and always was willing to help others. Linda began her working career as a beautician then became a patient advocate at the Alaska Native Medical Center. Later for many years she worked for Rural Cap as the Residential Mother for in-house clients who had physical and mental disabilities. Linda’s last job was as a florist for Carrs – Safeway on Northern Lights, where she put her artistic talent enlightened from her Aunt Christina to work.
Linda was a devout Christian and had a great love and tremendous faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. As a hobby Linda was an artist and loved to paint one of kind art such as Christian portraits of family, animals and nature; Linda also loved and wrote poetry and would always send cards with a poem written just for the recipient of that card.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Nina, her brothers Bobby, Herbie and Steven. Linda is survived by her older brother Jerry, older sister Elizabeth Johnson, and the youngest of her sibling’s, brother David and his children Julianna, Bobby, David and John; niece Nina Johnson and children; nephews Steve Johnson and Esper Floresta; cousins William, Hans Nicholson and sisters; Cousins Tina and Tami; many other great nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Alaska and the lower 48; Linda is also survived by her longtime love, friend and companion Tim and his beautiful children who loved Linda very much.
