Using prescribed fire to restore bighorn sheep habitat in Kootenay National Park
Grassland and open forests, in southern Kootenay National Park, are home to Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. After years of fire suppression, the increasing number of trees are threatening grassland and open forests. Find out how Parks Canada is using prescribed fire to maintain sheep habitat.
