- 2tbsp (30g) Mayonnaise
Batter
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Water

How to make:
- If you are not using wagyu, make some small cuts between the meat and fat and muscle.
- Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
- In a pan, add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, water, and lemon juice and bring to a boil.
- Let it simmer for a minute or so to thicken.
- Add the mayonnaise and then the cabbage.
- Put on low heat for 1 minute so the cabbage is slightly cooked. Set aside.
- For the batter, whisk together one egg and the water.
- Slowly add in the flour and whisk.
- Heat the oil to 180 degrees Celsius or 355 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Drip the steak into the batter and make sure it is all coated evenly.
- Then put into the breadcrumbs and push down so every inch is covered.
- Deep fry for 1 minute.
- Flip over and fry for another minute.
- Take it out and let it rest for 2 minutes.
- Toast your bread.
- Spread the cabbage sauce on the bottom piece of toast.
- Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the top.
- Place the Gyukatsu inbetween and trim.
- Cut in half.
- Enjoy!
