Pandit Shivkumar Sharma @ QEH June 1993 ~ Excerpts of Raga Malkauns

On the night of 26/27th June 1993 Navras Records and Sama Arts presented an All-Night Concert at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall featuring Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Ustad Rais Khan and Pandit Jasraj.

Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was accompanied by the Tabla Maestro (late) Ustad Shafat Ahmad Khan and Naina Shah on Tanpura. Shivji presented the majestic night Raga Malkauns followed by the South Indian melody in Raga Kirwani. This performance is contained in the unpublished Navras archives along with those of Ustad rats Khan and Pandit Jasraj from that event.

We share here excerpts of Raga Malkauns which will be released in the coming period by Sony Music India where the archives now reside.
