How a TikTok-Famous Chef Feeds a Sorority | On the Job | NYT Cooking

Meet Kevin Ashton, a sorority house chef responsible for feeding the 28 students who live at the Pi Beta Phi house at the University of Nevada, Reno, during the school year.

But if you’re on TikTok, Ashton may already be a familiar face: He has nearly 5 million followers on the platform, where he shares videos of the food he makes for students as well as candid details about his life, including his struggle with cancer. For him, this online community and content creation is “therapy.”
