Hot to get a criminal conviction "pardon" in California?
How to get a "pardon" of a criminal conviction in California? And what are the benefits? In this video, we explain.
Obtaining a pardon from the California Governor carries a number of benefits, including often ending sex offender registration per Penal Code 290, getting off Megan's list, restoring your firearms rights, and being better able to secure employment in the future.
Unfortunately the process to apply or petition for a pardon is not easy. in most cases, you must first secure a certificate of rehabilitation from the superior court. But people who no longer reside in California, or who were convicted of offenses that don't qualify for a certificate, must make a direct application to the governor's office for a pardon.
