SHOULD I JUST BECOME A DOCTOR? || IS MEDICAL SCHOOL NEXT?

It’s time to talk about our careers again! Many of you guys ask us about what we do for a living, how come we don’t post as many videos as you want and other questions that we usually just blame on us not having enough time. Well, today we will tell you why you don’t see content from us as often as you’d like! Believe us, we want to post all the time but it’s not always possible.

Avri is studying clinical lab sciences, also known as medicinal technology. With her degree and passing the ASCP boards, she can work in medical labs in departments like microbiology, blood banking, chemistry and others. These are people that do tests on various samples: blood, tissue, stool, saliva, etc. Avri is currently doing her Internship at a New York hospital and she’s going to be halfway through at the end of this semester (end of December). The studies are very intense; it’s basically a medical/doctor-like field without as much recognition. But as long as everything works out, Avri should have her degree in hand by May/June and as long as she passes her board exam, she can work in any lab in the US.

Simas is also studying, in case you guys didn’t already know! He’s doing a master’s in Financial Crime Investigations while also working as a fraud manager at a financial company in New York City. He did his bachelors already in business management a few years ago and he’s also almost done with his master’s, which should be done by New Years. His field involves money laundering cases, credit card fraud, wire fraud, tax evasion, terrorist financing and many other financial crimes. Today, he’s focused on battling fraud at his place of employment. There is a big focus in risk management, fraud analytics, fraud data analytics, account takeover management, wire fraud and much more when it comes to financial crime. Simas doesn't work for an investment bank or corporate bank but the field is similar to that.

We value education a lot. Our parents have always pushed us hard because they did not get the opportunities that we did. It’s only fair for us to reach and achieve because our parents work so hard to help us have a brighter future. We are talking of going further in our careers and education, so this may not be the last stop for us, although we are very tired of studying and doing assignments all the time. We want to be a career-oriented power couple! We have a chance to become that and hope to grow doing that. We plan on being a dual-income couple so we know there will be some challenges ahead but we are ready for them. We are ready to be on millennial money because we know how to make in New York! Although we are feeling burnt out, we’ll continue our growth and reach for success.
